Report A Complaint

To report an issue or submit a complaint regarding a Short-Term Rental (STR), call the Complaint Hotline. Issues may include noise, parking violations, occupancy-limit violations, pet issues, feeding wildlife, trash issues or other code violations. 

The following information must be provided:

  • Address of the Short-Term Rental unit
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos or videos (if available)

Hotline Response Time

Once a complaint is received, the local responsible party will be notified and is required to respond within one hour.

Reporting Party - Submit a Complaint

  • Call the STR complaint Hotline at 970-788-3344.
  • Clearly state the details of the complaint, providing as much information as possible. 

Hotline - Notify Responsible Party

  • Once a complaint is submitted, the Hotline will initiate a call to the responsible party associated with the licensed STR.
  • Upon successful completion of the call, the Hotline will send a follow up text to the responsible party. 

Responsible Party

  • Acknowledge the call
  • Follow the prompts on the call to confirm your receipt of the call and understanding of the nature of the complaint.
  • Follow the prompts in the text message to document receipt of complaint notification. 

Resolve the Issue

  • Take steps to respond to the complaint and resolve the issue within the required time frame.
  • If the complaint is not related to the reported property, proceed to the resolution confirmation step.

Confirm Resolution

  • Follow the prompts in the text message to confirm resolution of the issue or to document that the complaint is not related to the reported property.
  • Note: Access to the resolution confirmation link will expire after the required response time frame.
