Real Talk with School Resource Officers

Join local SROs for a candid and meaningful conversation with a question & answer session about juvenile tendencies observed locally and national trends being seen in schools. 

If you have a student, this is your opportunity to meet the people behind the badge and engage in an open conversation about the role SROs play in keeping schools safe. Creating a safe and positive learning environment is a team effort between SROs and parents, and they want to hear from you.

Steamboat Springs Police SRO/Detective Lisa Eifling along with Routt County Sheriff’s Office SRO/Deputy Stephen Harbison are working in local schools across the Yampa Valley. SROs in partnership with the school district to address concerns using multi-faceted and innovative approaches and open communication and relationship building. SSPD established the School Resource Officer (SRO) position in 1997.
